Ferrante & Reicher

Arthur Ferrante born in New York City on September 7, 1921 and Louis Teicher on August 24, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania met as young men while attending the famed Julliard School of Music In New York.

In the 1960’s Ferrante and Teicher jumped on the Hit Parade from the airplay of top 40 radio, with their twin piano’s giving them four million selling singles, “Theme from the Apartment,” “Exodus,” “Tonight” and “Midnight Cowboy.”  These hit singles spawned the sale of millions of albums making the duo a major concert draw.

Ferrante and Teicher retired to Florida in 1989.

Louis Teicher died in 2008 at 83 years of and Arthur Ferrante died in 2009 at 88 years of age.

Ferrante and Teicher were inducted into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2011.
